1. First thing is find out the details of your computer motherboard. Go to the kingston website
http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator_new/mfrmod.asp?root=anz&LinkBack=http://www.kingston.com/anz
Enter your Motherboard details.
It should return a list of compatible RAM chips.
2. If your system has dual/triple channels the chips must be inserted in pairs in the correct slots. Check the motherboard documents.
3. Higher speed RAM chips do not automatically increase the speed of the computer. It is limited by the capacity of the motherboard and associated software.
